An inquest was held before Justices Thomas and Alexander Lindsay, 7th Tier, Jacksontown (Carleton Co.) on 9th inst., on view of the body of V.O. TORRY, an American clock peddlar. The deceased on the day mentioned was taking dinner at James GRAY's when he was seen to choke severely. Mrs. GRAY went to his assistance, patted him on the back and tried other means to relieve him, but to no avail as in less than five minutes he ceased to exist. (see original)
