George Franklin HIBBARD s/o late Hon. Francis HIBBARD was born at St. George in 1848. He received his education at the St. Stephen grammar school and is now senior partner of firm Geo. F. Hibbard & Bro., general traders of St. George. He has been a member of the Municipal Council. In April 1878 he was married to Julia E. BREED of Charlestown, Mass. He was first elected in 1882 as a supporter of Mr. Blair and has since held his seat. An independent in Dominion politics and a Baptist in religion. - 'Globe'
