A child about six weeks old was left at the door of Mrs. BABB's house in Milltown one eve. last week. It was wrappedin a breakfast shawl which was identified as having been worn by a girl calling herself Sarah BROWN who came here about the first of January from Machias (Maine) and left in company with a man supposed to belong to Machias the same eve. on which the child was left at Mrs. BABB's. A lady in the Upper Mills has adopted the child.
