Within a few days, the old two men, for many years former residents of Carleton (St. John) passed away. Jacob BACON died at the home of his son-in-law, G.E. BAXTER at Perth Centre (Victoria Co.) 11th inst., age 92. Noah DOWDLE, died at the home of his son-in-law, Henry CARLTON at Point Wolfe (Albert Co.) 6th inst., age 83. Both had been for many years members of the Carleton F.C. Baptist church. Mr. Bacon held the office of deacon.
