Mary Mills SHERMAN was born near Moncton, 5th March, 1814. In 1833 she was united in marriage with Young SHERMAN of Salisbury (West. Co.). Under the ministrations of Father Crandall she was baptized and with her husband united with the First Baptist church at Salisbury. The greater part of her life was spent at North River, Salisbury Parish. The last few weeks of her life were spent with with her youngest daughter, the wife of J.A.M. COLPITTS, Pleasantvale. On Sunday Feb. 22, as she found herself drawing near the confines of life, she asked for Mr. Lodge, a Christian minister. A few moments after his departure, her happy spirit, freed from the body, joined the glorified spirits of the blessed. On Tuesday Feb. 24th, all that was mortal of Mary Sherman was interred in the Pleasantvale burying ground. Rev. D.H. Lodge preached an impressive service.
