A few days ago we noticed the fact that Edward MOORE of (Saint John) city, second mate of Hall & Fairweather barque "Lilian" had been put on trial at Cardiff for the alledged murder of a sailor on board his ship. It having been made clear at the trial that the deed was done in self defence, the jury returned a ferdict of not guilty and Moore was discharged.
