Although not unexpected the news of the death of G.C. FAWCETT which occurred Tuesday morn. 9 o'clock, was received with a shock. He was a s/o late Squire William FAWCETT and brother of John FAWCETT, Esq. He had been ill for some weeks with a disease of the stomach and getting gradually weaker. Of late he suffered very little. Deceased was 58 years of age. He leaves a widow and one daughter. The funeral will be held Thursday 2 o'clock, Rev. Wm Harrison and Dr. Stewart conducting the services. Deceased was one of the founders of the Sackville Cornet Band and as a token of respect the Band will march in procession with draped instruments.
