Back Bay (Charlotte Co.) Jan. 5 - Fred CRAIG, a young man of this place, had quite a thrilling experience not long ago. While going up Letang River in his net boat he saw what he supposed to be some drift wood ahead. On getting nearer he discovered that it was a man lashed to a mast. He got the boat alongside and by almost superhuman efforts got the man in the boat and made for the nearest house. The man was apparently dead, but after hours of labors on the part of his friends he revived. He had been in the water for three hours. Too much cannot be said in regard to young Craig's presence of mind. It shows his thorough knowledge of a boat as he was alone and it was blowing very hard. We have just since learned that the man's name was JUSTASON and that he belonged to Pennfield (Charlotte Co.)
