Miss Lucy BURLEIGH d/o Ex.Gov. BURLEIGH and Byron BOYD, chief clerk in the Secretary of State's office, were united in marriage at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday eve., the ceremony being performed at the new residence on Western Ave. which is to be their home. Rev. James S. Williamson, pastor of the Congregational Churh officiated. Miss Evelyn BURLEIGH, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Dr. Wendell C. BOYD, brother of the groom, acted as best man. Among members of the family present were Dr. and Mrs. Robert BOYD, parents of the groom and Hon. A.A. BURLEIGH, president of the Bangor & Aroostock Railroad, wife and daughter, and Mrs. HAND w/o Dr. HAND of Woodstock, N.B., a sister of the groom. (see original)
