The death of Benjamin WISHART which took place yesterday at his home in St. Martins (St. John) removes an old and respected resident of this county. Deceased was a Scotchman by birth and came to this country when a young man. For a number of years he commanded some of the largest vessels sailing out of this port and on retirement from the sea, he engaged in shipbuilding at St. Martins. Deceased was a member of the Prebyterian church, was president of St. Martin's Agricultural society and was elected a member of the school board and continued in office until his death. His family consists of two sons and one daughter, the latter being the wife of James ROURKE of St. Martins.
