Miss BAIN died at the residence of her niece, Mrs. John THOMAS, St. John, last night, age 76. Deceased had only been ill since Tuesday. Up to that time she was in the enjoyment of her usual good health. She was sitting on a chair Tuesday afternoon and Mrs. Thomas asked her several questions but got no reply. Becoming alarmed she came near to see what the matter was and found that Miss Bain was prostrated with paralysis. Medical aid was summoned. She never rallied and died about 10 o'clock last night. C. Sterling BRANNEN and George CLARKE are nephews of the deceased. The funeral takes place Saturday afternoon. Undertaker John G. Adams will have charge of the arrangements.
