Two New Brunswickers Killed - Further particulars of the death of John HALORAN, engineer at the Dalles, Oregon, are that he was shot Dec. 17 by GARDINER, the proprietor of the hotel at which he was staying. No witnesses were present by Gardiner says he shot Haloran in self defence - Charles CORMIER, age 22, belonging to Cocagne (Kent Co.) left in November for Oconto, Wisconsin intending to work in the woods. He got employment immediately after he arrived there and on Monday last the sad news came that he had been killed while felling a tree. The accident happened on Dec. 21st and he died on the 23rd.
