'Maple Leaf' - The Hopewell (Albert Co.) community was startled last Tuesday afternoon by another sad affair, the death of Andrew ANDERSON. Mr. A., who was working in the Hopewell Mill Co's mill loft piling pine deals that were handed to him by Chandler DOWLING, jr. and John McFEETERS, fell a distance of ten feet to the floor beneath, striking his head and shoulder. He was taken up insensible and conveyed to his room in the Union Hotel. Mr. A.did not recover consciousness and died at 8:30 p.m. He was about 56 years old and came to this village in 1874 to manage the mill property. He was an Oddfellow and born in the Shetland Islands. He was a member of the St. Andrew Society in Saint John and a member of the Methodist church. He leaves a widow and several children in Saint John and a son, Walter P. ANDERSON who is with the firm Parke, Davis & Co. in New York.
