Fredericton, Oct. 11 - John MOORE on Friday last completed the erection of a handsome granite monument over the grave of Dr. Brooke who is buried in the old Protestant burying ground. 'In memory of Rev. John M. BROOKE, D.D., for nearly 40 years Minister of Saint Paul's Church; in life universally esteemed, at death deeply regretted. Died 16th January 1882, aged 82 years.' On the right side the following: 'Isabella widow of the late Revd. John M. Brooke, D.D., died the 20th July 1882'. On the left side, 'Janet widow of the late Capt. William STUART, died 6th September 1856, aged 69 years' (see original for description of monument)
