On Sunday night it was generally known that during the night preceding a man named LUCY had been found dead on Portland Bridge under suspicious circumstances. The parties under arrest are an old whipsawyer named John LONG, a decrepid old woman, their daughter Ellen, sometimes called Mrs. DWYER and sometimes Mrs. LUCY, and a boy of 14 named BAKER son to a wretched woman who is in gaol at present for some breach of the police laws, leaving this boy and two little girls on the world.
