Newburg Junction (Carleton Co.) Dec. 30 - The death of John NIXON 27th inst. leaves another vacancy in the list of the first settlers of this county. He had been in failing health for two months with kidney trouble. Three sons, two daughters and a wife survive him. One of his sons, Horace NIXON, holds a resposible position in Lowell, Mass.
