Located 2.24 km SE of Sheila: Saumarez Parish, Gloucester County: named for William Ferguson, a Loyalist from Pennsylvania, who settled here in 1786: PO 1883-1913: in 1898 Ferguson Point was a farming and fishing community with 1 post office, 1 store, 1 hotel, 4 lobster factories (which also processed berries) and a population of 250.
