Located 3.84 km E of Village-des-Cormier: Saint-Paul Parish and Saint Mary Parish, Kent County: first called McLaughlin Road: PO 1861-1929: in 1866 McLaughlan Road was a farming settlement with 24 families: in 1871 it had a population of 200: in 1898 McLaughlan Road had 1 sawmill, 1 church and a population of 250: renamed Gladside in 1929: PO Gladeside 1929-1932.
