: established in 1914 by James Kidd Flemming as a lumbering centre: PO from 1917. Flemming was premier of New Brunswick from 1911 to 1914: Flemmings family ran a lumber mill in the village. Village named for the low growing juniper shrub in nearby Juniper Station.
