Located 7.45 km ENE of Magundy: Prince William Parish, York County: settled by Loyalists and named for George McGeorge, one of the first settlers to receive a land grant here: formerly called Scotch Settlement: included Donnelly Settlement, which was named for John Donnelly and Patrick Donnelly: PO Lake George 1866-1913: in 1871 Lake George had a population of 100: in 1898 Lake George was a farming settlement with a population of 100.
