Located 1.85 km N of Rang-Saint-Georges, on the road to Trudel: Paquetville Parish, Gloucester County: established in 1866 and named for Joseph-Marie Paquet (1804-1869) who was parish priest at Caraquet from 1848-1869: PO 1878-1882 and from 1887: in 1898 Paquetville was a farming and lumbering community with 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 400: Paquetville was incorporated as a village in 1966.
