Located on the Millstream River, 9.84 km NW of Sussex: Studholm Parish, Kings County: named for Berwick, Nova Scotia: in 1866 Berwick was a farming community with about 7 resident families: in 1898 Berwick had 1 store, 1 sawmill, 1 cheese factory, 1 carriage shop, 3 churches and a population of 210: formerly called Fenwick or Fenwick Corner: named for Matthew Fenwick who setled in the area 1801: in 1866 Fenwick was a farming community with about 21 resident families including the families of Ezekiel Fenwick et de Freeze Fenwick: included the settlement of Millstream: PO 1845-1969: in 1866 Millstream was a farming community with about 80 families: in 1871 Millstream and surrounding district had a population of 400: in 1898 Millstream had 1 post office, 1 store, 1 sawmill, 1 grist mill, 1 shingle mill, 1 cheese factory, 1 skimming station, 1 church and a population of 200.
