Located 4.3 km WNW of Prosser Brook and 4.3 km ENE of Mapleton: Elgin Parish, Albert County: settled about 1831: PO 1872-1915: in 1866 Pleasant Vale was a farming settlement with approximately 5 families, including 4 Colpitts families: in 1871 it had a population of 150: in 1898 Pleasant Vale had 1 post office, 1 sawmill, 1 grist mill, 1 furniture factory, 1 church and a population of 190.
