Carleton Parish
and a part of
Richibucto Parish
in 1855 and called Palmerston Parish for the Right Honourable Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount of Palmerston (1784-1865) and prime minister of England (1855-1865): renamed to Saint-Louis Parish in 1866.
