Description
Located on the Northeast Arm of Grand Lake, 9.52 km SW of Cumberland Bay, on the road to Coal Creek: Waterborough Parish, Queens County: PO 1860-1947: named for the range of lots granted to local settlers: in 1866 The Range was a farming community with about 34 resident families, including 12 Barton families: in 1871 it had a population of 150: in 1898 The Range had 1 post office, 1 store, 2 churches and a population of 100: included Wiggins.
