Located 8.51 km NE of Nackawic, on the road to Springfield: Queensbury Parish, York County: named for Dr. William Caverhill, who settled here about 1820: PO 1864-1914: in 1866 Upper Caverhill was a farming community with about 21 resident families, including the families of John Caverhill, John Caverhill Jr., William Caverhill and William Caverhill Jr.: in 1898 Upper Caverhill had 1 post office, 1 store and 2 churches: included Milltown Settlement: in 1866 Milltown Settlement was a farming community with approximately 9 resident families: also included Greenlaw Settlement: in 1866 Greenlaw Settlement was a farming community with approximately 17 families, including the family of Isaac Greenlaw.
