Located on W side of the St. John River, 9.23 km WNW of Jemseg: Gagetown Parish, Queens County: PO from 1856: in 1866 Upper Gagetown was a farming community with about 60 families, including 8 Coy and 8 Currier families: in 1871 it had a population of about 200: in 1904 Upper Gagetown was a settlement with 1 post office, 2 stores, 2 hotels, 1 mill, 2 schools, 2 churches and a population of 200.
