Located 7.53 km N of Saint John: Simonds Parish, St. John County: possibly named for Brook Watson, an agent for the New Brunswick government in London, England from 1786-1794: PO Brookville Station 1895-1916: PO Brookville 1916-1965: in 1898 Brookville was a station on the Intercolonial Railway, a summer resort and a farming settlement with 1 post office, a lime quarry and a population of 300: now within the city of Saint John.
