Located on N side of the Southwest Miramichi River, 4.23 km ENE of Upper Derby: Derby Parish, Northumberland County: PO 1882-1970 with Albert Bryenton as first postmaster: in 1898 Bryenton was on the Indiantown branch of the Intercolonial Railway and was a farming and lumbering settlement with 1 post office, 1 store and a population of 200.
