Located 6.14 km NNW of Norton: Springfield Parish, Kings County: settled in 1829 by Elisha Case, Mayes Case and William Case who came from Rhode Island: PO 1867-1886 with George Case as the first postmaster: in 1871 it had a population of 100: in 1904 Case Settlement was a flag station on the New Brunswick Coal and Railway and a farming community with a population of 110: included the settlement of Avonmore: PO Avonmore 1886-1918: in 1904 Avonmore had 1 post office, and a population of 75.
