Chamcook 1860-1882 and 1915-1970: in 1866 Chamcook was a fishing, farming and shipbuilding settlement with about 90 families: in 1871 it was a flag station on the New Brunswick and Canada Railway and had a population of 150: in 1904 Chamcook was a station on the Canadian Pacific Railway with 1 post office, 1 summer hotel, 1 flour and feed mill, 1 church and a population of 300.
