Description
Located 3.91 km SSW of Durham Centre: Durham Parish, Restigouche County: William Archibald, Robert Archibald and Hugh Archibald settled here in 1836: PO 1868-1961 with Mrs. Catherine Archibald as first postmaster: in 1871 the village and surrounding district had a population of 200: in 1898 Archibald Settlement was a farming community with 1 post office and a population of 120: became part of the village of Belledune.
