Hugh McCann’s grant for 100 acres of land at Johnville, Kent Parish, Carleton County, N.B. – 2 October 1867. – 3 pp. of textual records and 1 sketch : pen and ink. Hugh McCann and his wife, Jane, are considered Johnville’s first official settlers. Hugh received the grant to lot no. 1, containing 100 acres, in October 1867, approximately seven years after arriving in the settlement.
