Russ King
- Dr. Russell King taught high school for a number of years before returning to university to study medicine. After receiving his medical degree from Dalhousie University, he established his Family Practice in Fredericton in 1972.
- Served as a member of the New Brunswick Medical Society's Board of Directors from 1984 to 1987, when he was elected as the Liberal MLA for the riding of Fredericton South.
- Appointed Minister of Advanced Education and Labour, and after his re-election in 1991, was appointed Minister of Health and Community Services. Served as Minister of Health until 1998.
- In 2004, he was one of the inaugural recipients of the New Brunswick Medical Society's Dr. William F. Roberts Political Action Award.
