The opposition to provincially funded Abortion Clinics is one thing Premier Don Cameron of NS and Premier Frank McKenna of NB have in common. McKenna's penchant for hockey is used as the setting to show their opinion of Henry Morgentaler's proposed clinics.

- Holocaust survivor, emigrated to Canada after receiving his medical degree in Germany
- Canadian abortion doctor and long-time abortion activist
- Began openly performing illegal abortions in Montreal, 1969, went to court several times
- Charged in Ontario in 1983, the eventual outcome of the case essentially ending statutory restrictions on abortion in Canada
- Morgentaler has since opened and operated many abortion clinics around the country
