Résumé Parish of Hopewell, Westmorland County, Husbandman. Will dated 2 January 1833, proved 6 September 1833. Wife Jerusha the use of a lot of upland north of the highway with the privilege of one half of the dwelling, one third of the remainder of my real estate and all the household furniture for life. Eldest son Ezra land already deeded to him, six acres of woodland on the south side of my farm adjoining Timothy BISHOP, dykeland south of the highway adjoining Samuel WEST, an island of marsh joining my running dyke and my wearing apparel. Second son Andrew land already deeded to him, four acres of woodland and a lot of dykeland, both adjoining land willed to son Ezra. Third son Timothy the lands already deeded to him, a piece of land joining his farm, upland adjoining land owned by the heirs of the late Jonathan ROBINSON and a lot of dykeland on the west side of Horn Brook. Son Silas the land already deeded to him and a lot of dykeland south of the highway adjoining land owned by the heirs of the late James DERRY. Fifth and seventh sons Joshua and Thomas part of my homestead farm, dykeland on the north side of the creek, marshland joining my running dyke, my upland farm on the south side of the highway, the remainder of my woodland, grassland on the south side of the highway and my livestock. Joshua to have the house where he now lives and Thomas to have my dwelling house and my old barn. Son Joshua dyked marsh land on the south side of the highway. Sixth son William upland on the north side of the highway and dykeland south of the highway by Horn Brook. Youngest daughter Mary Ann the household furniture at my wife's decease and £50. Four sons Ezra, Andrew, Silas and Timothy the remainder of my dykeland north of the Creek. Grandson, Ezra BISHOP the third, one cow. Sons Timothy and Joshua BISHOP executors. Witnesses: Peter McCLELAN, Aaron STEVENS. John SMITH, Samuel WEST and Aaron STEVENS directed to appraise the estate.
