On 24 April 1797 the kindred and creditors of the deceased were cited to appear and show cause why administration of the estate should not be granted to Joseph BAXTER. Administration granted 4 July 1797 to Joseph BAXTER. Fellow bondsmen Andrew SPROUL and Nicholas BICKEL, all of Kings County. Inventory, dated 16 October 1797, valued at £1 19s. by Andrew SPROUL and Martin LAHY covered 3 "Beeds," 3 handkerchiefs, 3 shirts, a case of razors and a pair of "specttels."
