Résumé Parish of Hopewell, Westmorland County, Esquire. Will dated 3 March 1821, proved 7 April 1821. Indexed as "William Duncan REED." Eldest daughter Sarah REED the farm where I now live, six cows, one yoke of oxen, one breeding mare, ten sheep and three swine. If she should die without an heir, the same to be possessed equally by her brothers. To the heirs of William REED, deceased, a half right of land bounded easterly by David OLIVER and westerly by the half right I give to my third son Benjamin REED and northerly by land formerly owned by the said William REED. Elizabeth COPP, wife of David COPP, the obligation I hold against David OLIVER of £70 all but £10. To Benjamin REED, third son, the half share of land he now improves. Benjamin REED and Gilfred REED executors. Executors to pay to my two daughters and my four daughters-in-law each of them a Dubloon as soon as convenient. Witnesses: Chester BORDWELL, Newton WELLS, David AKERLY.
