Résumé City of Saint John, St. John County, Yeoman. Will dated 21 December 1825, proved 28 March 1826. Wife Amelia STYMEST annuity of £50 and the use of the dwelling house and furniture during her life. Eldest son Benjamin Michael STYMEST and youngest son Jesse McKeel STYMEST each an annuity of £25 for four years after my decease. Eldest daughter Catherine STYMEST £10. Four years after my decease all real estate in City of Saint John to be sold and proceeds divided among my children. Whereas my brother Peter STYMEST, late deceased, of Monmouth, New Jersey, bequeathed to me his land in Monmouth, with his personal estate left in the hands of his wife Jane STYMEST, all that may remain after her decease, the same to be divided between my children. Eldest son Benjamin Michael STYMEST, youngest son Jesse McKeel STYMEST and friend Henry THOMAS executors. Witnesses: Daniel ANSLEY, Samuel MASON Junr., William BRUNDAGE. On 28 March 1826 Jesse McKeel STYMEST and Henry THOMAS, the two surviving executors, were sworn. On 19 February 1829 further administration of estate granted to Catharine STEVENS, daughter of deceased, and Reubin WATTS, husband of Sarah WATTS, another daughter, both of the City of Saint John, and William H. TRAVIS of the Parish of Portland, the executors named in the will all being deceased and daughters Elizabeth HUTCHISON, Amelia McADDAM and Sarah WATTS all having renounced in their favour. Fellow bondsmen William J. STEVENS and Stinson PATTEN of the City of Saint John.
