Résumé Parish of Westmorland, Westmorland County, Yeoman. Will dated 8 October 1818, proved 5 May 1819. Son George WELLS the farm I live on, Lot 41 purchased from Samuel GAY Esq., and a marsh lot on the "bigg pond." Son William WELLS the farm George WELLS now lives on purchased from Samuel McCARDY, and three lots on the "bigg marsh" I purchased of William ALLAN Esq., Thomas ESTERBROOKS and Gideon SMITH. Son Joseph D. WELLS all my land at Jollicure Point and that part of the school lot sold by the Commissioners of Sewers and deeded to me by the high Sheriff. My three daughters Mary CHAPPEL, Jane CHAPPEL and Elizabeth ALLAN £100 each. Grand daughter Jane FREEZE £50. Son George to pay his mother Margaret WELLS £30 annually for life. Joseph D. WELLS to pay his mother £10 annually. Wife to have use of that part of my dwelling house which she thinks will accomadate her best, as much of my furniture as she pleases, and what stock she chooses to keep for her own use. Residue of estate to be divided among my children and my children's children as my wife thinks best. Son William WELLS £150 to be paid by my son George WELLS one year after my decease. Wife Margaret WELLS, sons William WELLS and George WELLS executors. Witnesses: Valentine WOOD, Daniel DAVIS, Edward WOOD.
