Résumé Parish of Westmorland, Westmorland County. Intestate. Administration granted 6 October 1831 to Catharine WELLS, widow, Benjamin WELLS and Thomas WELLS. Fellow bondsmen Samuel ALLEN and Abraham DOBSON, all of Westmorland. An undated petition of James HORSFALL and Robert SHERATON, merchants, of the City of Saint John, stated that the deceased was survived by his widow Catharine WELLS and children, Benjamin A. WELLS, William WELLS, Thomas WELLS, Catherine the wife of Joseph TRENHOLM, and Cynthia DOHERTY. On 29 March 1833 an arbitrated decision in a matter between George WELLS versus Catharine WELLS, Benjamin WELLS and Thomas WELLS was rendered by Edwin BOTSFORD, George OULTON and George ALLAN, in which reference was made to the Heirs of the estate of the late William WELLS Esquire, viz Mary CHAPPELL, Jane CHAPPELL and Elizabeth ALLAN. Mary TRUEMAN, Margarete CHAPMAN, Jane CHAPMAN, Susan FREESS and Milkey CARTER, decreed £26 to be paid to George WELLS on release from the named heirs. The release was signed by Mary CHAPPELL, Jane CHAPPELL, Elizabeth ALLAN, Mary TRUEMAN, Jane CHAPMAN, Susannah FREEZE and Milcah CARTER, witnessed by John CAREY, Joseph ANDERSON, John DAVIS and Henry DAVIS on [day blank] March 1834.
