On 3 July 1827 administration of estate granted to James O. BETTS and Angus McKENZIE, merchants, in response to their petition stating that the widow Ann GRIFFITHS died on 10 May, also intestate, leaving 3 children, the eldest about 17 and the two younger under the age of twelve, and there being no next of kin to whom administration could be committed. Fellow bondsmen Laughlan DONALDSON Esq. and Philip KEHOE, all of the City of Saint John.
