Located on S side of the Southwest Miramichi River across from
Priceville

Carroll’s Crossing

. The name was formerly associated with what became Carroll’s Crossing, but the name shifted to its present location in the late 1880s when the McNamees pulled up stakes and moved a few miles upriver. In 1898 McNamee was a flag station on the Canada Eastern Railway and a farming and lumbering settlement with 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 75. It is the location of the suspension, walking bridge that crosses to Priceville on the northside of the river.
