: PO 1852-1920: in 1866 it was a farming settlement with about 60 families, including 7 Dickinson and 9 Robinson families: in 1871 Lower Brighton had a population of about 250: in 1898 Lower Brighton was a settlement on the Canadian Pacific Railway with 1 post office, 3 churches and a population of 150.
