Located 7.53 km S of Sackville, on the road to Rockport: Sackville Parish, Westmorland County: PO 1854-1938: in 1866 Wood Point was a shipping community with 60 resident families, including 6 Outhouse, 6 Tower and 6 Snowdon families: in 1871 Wood Point had a population of 150: in 1898 Wood Point was a port and a settlement with 1 post office, 1 sawmill, 2 large quarries, 1 church and a population of 200.
