The reverberations of conflict can take many forms and last long after the battles have ended. Just one of the outcomes of war is how the combatants are integrated back to peace-time life. Such efforts can have repercussions for long periods of time. In this document the efforts of former troops to garner compensation for their contributions to the War of 1812 extended at least 50 years.
