Abstract City of Saint John, St. John County, Mariner. Holographic will dated 20 December 1805, apparently during or prior to an ocean voyage. Proved 12 December 1806. The name appears as "McKIE" and "MACKIE" in Record Book B. Clothing to father at Dalny in the Shire of Ayr, or if he deceased, to be divided among my sister's children. Watch to brother James at New York. Mrs. MACKIE to be left in full possession of property for life, and in case of no issue, to be divided at her death "betwixt hers & my friends." Witness: Henry GILBERT. No executor named. Administration granted 27 December 1806 to Samuel MILES, the widow Mary MACKIE having renounced. Fellow bondsmen Bradford GILBERT and Thomas HANFORD, all merchants, Saint John.
