Abstract Parish of Westmorland, Westmorland County, Gentleman. Will dated 3 September 1819, proved 3 November 1819. Wife Catharine CARTER all my real estate consisting of my half of Green Mile Farm so called, my half of the Laws farm purchased from Winckworth ALLAN Esq., 20 acres of land purchased from Isaac DANKS and his mother, land purchased from John BUTLER Esq., land given me by my [Mothers] last will and testament, one half of Lot 15 between Thomas ROACH Esq. and Henry CHAPMAN, land on Bay Verte road, and all personal estate while my widow. Should she marry again, she to retain one third of the property during her life. At her marriage or death, to my sons George CARTER, James Robert CARTER, John Thompson CARTER, Henry CARTER, William Dobson CARTER and Isaac CARTER all my real estate, equally divided. Daughters Hannah CARTER, Ann Jane CARTER and Elizabeth CARTER each £100 at age 21. Wife Catharine CARTER and son George CARTER executors. Witnesses: Rufus SMITH, John CARTER, Jonathan SINDALL.
