"Formerly of Halifax in the Province of Nova Scotia, late of Boston, Merchant." St. John County records. Apparently intestate. On 24 November 1820 the next of kin were cited to appear and show cause why administration of the estate should not be granted to Stephen Wastie DEBLOIS, son of the deceased. A second citation, also dated 24 November 1820, cited the next of kin to appear and show cause why administration of the estate should not be granted to Stephen Wastie DEBLOIS who is cousin to the said deceased. File contains two petitions by John Thomas MURRAY as attorney for Stephen [Wastie] DEBLOIS, one stating Stephen DEBLOIS is cousin to George DEBLOIS Junior and seeking administration of his estate in New Brunswick. The other petition states Stephen DEBLOIS is son of George DEBLOIS Senior, late of Halifax, merchant, and prays administration of his estate. Both petitions dated 23 November 1820. Administration granted 1 January 1821 to Stephen Wastie DEBLOIS of [blank], no relationship stated.
