Abstract City of Saint John, St. John County, Merchant. Holographic will dated 23 June 1794, proved 9 May 1815. Entire estate to wife Elizabeth DINGWALL during her life. At her death to be divided between the two children of my late sister Sarah, their Names being unknown to me, and Elizabeth, the daughter of my wife, with the "express condition that Elizabeth shall settle herself in Life with the approbation & consent of her Mother." Wife to have full power to make division of all real and personal property. Witnesses: John THOMSON, Hugh JOHNSTON. CODICIL dated 24 December 1803 From a variety of misfortunes which have happened to me in the course of my Business within these Nine Years last past, I have thought it proper and advisable to alter materially the terms of the Annexed Will. Wife Elizabeth entire estate for life while widow. At her death or marriage entire estate to her daughter Mrs. Elizabeth KENNEDY. Elizabeth DINGWALL and Neil KENNEDY executors. Administration cum testamento annexo granted 12 April 1820 to Ward CHIPMAN, the Younger, Esq., the executors Elizabeth DINGWALL and Neil KENNEDY having lately died without having fully administered the estate. Fellow bondsmen Ward CHIPMAN and John Thomas MURRAY, Esquires, all of the City of Saint John. City of Saint John, St. John County, Widow. Will dated 30 April 1816, proved 6 June 1820. Entire estate to daughter Elizabeth KENNEDY and her children. Elizabeth KENNEDY sole executrix. Witnesses: William JAFFREY, Robert ALLAN. Further administration granted 5 May 1821 to Charles C. BROWNSWORD, merchant, Charlotte County, and Thomas NICHOLSON, merchant, St. John County, on the decease of Elizabeth KENNEDY, the sole executor of the estate. Fellow bondsmen John J. ROBERTS and James EWING, merchants, City of Saint John.
